Is live art a necessity or a luxury in today’s consumer society? Lia Haraki, artist and founder of The Performance Shop, explains on the TEDxPatras stage why she thinks that the value of live art can be found in the values it entails.
Lia talks about her experience witnessing the art of performance in the center of daily life within the frame of a shop by supporting that despite its ephemeral nature, live art is more valuable than ever, and perhaps one of the best ‘investments’ one can make nowadays. In an era where everything seems to be on sale, art becomes necessary, probably proving to be our last chance for free expression.
